Oceania -- Oh How I Love Ya!

The countries of Oceania are usually thought of as Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. The latter would include island countries or groups in the Pacific such as Tahiti, Fiji and a few others. Which ever way you cut it -- Oceania is tropical and sunny and full of interesting places to visit, people to chat with and places to experience and visit. New Zealand and Australia alone provide a ton of unusual happenings, buildings, festivals and other things to experience while you are on vacation. You can reach all of Oceania via boat or plane. Tahiti is a tropical paradise that was a favorite of several authors and painters. Fiji is home to an intense Polynesian culture. Several explorers like Cook and Darwin and many others, found a lot of exploration opportunities in this vast area. Island countries tend to be a bit isolated so the cultures there are preserved longer and this gives the traveler a lot of opportunities to explore and experience colorful and often diverse ways of living. New Zealand is famous not only for its Kiwi bird, but Waitomo Gloworm Caverns, fjords, bubbling mud pools and miles of beaches. Australia has the world famous Great Barrier Reef.
