Beautifully Addictive and Alive South America
There are so many regions in South America that it could take years to get to most of them. There's the Andes in the West, that was home to the Incas and their impossibly high cities on tops of mountains. There's the rainforests and jungle and rivers of Northern South America and in particular, Brazil. The latter thriving city is modern and with a huge amount of life and things to experience in it. Further down the East Coast and inland, there are the Patagonia areas of Argentina and cowboys and at the ends of the earth "Tierra Del Fuego" the climate and scenery are rugged and spectacular. And the festivals! There's Carnivale in Rio and this is similar (but much larger) than Mardi Gras in New Orleans in the U.S. Various ethnic crafts and festivals abound in all of the South American countries -- you just have to keep on checking for dates and where they are. Don't forget that the climate in South America is reversed from the Northern Hemisphere. If you travel to the Southern edges of the continent, you'll experience Winter in June!
