Healthy or Not, Here I come!
Hopefully, you will never get sick while traveling in a foreign country, but what if you do? Take enough of your prescription medicines with you, and in two separate bags so that if one gets lost, you will still have a set. If you have an accident or injure yourself then a pharmacy may be able to point you to clinic or hospital. You can also ask at any police station and they will be able to help. There are insurance policies that will cover you if you do need health care. All countries differ in what is required to get health care, and where you can go, and how to pay for it. If you have an underlying condition, it's always wise to check out that sort of thing beforehand so you will be prepared. Keep your medications in their original bottles as this helps when you pass through security. If you have medication that's liquid and in a large bottle and it's prescription, then take the doctor's prescription along with it. If possible, get that liquid or gel into a three ounces or smaller container. The latter also applies to any non-prescription liquids or gels or pastes you may be carrying. Plan ahead and check into what restrictions there may be in foreign countries, and also, if you may need it, where health care facilities are and how you would pay for it. Most probably take credit cards, but check just in case.
